Beloved Terrell Lady Dies after Lengthy Illness
Mrs. Myrtle Bell Sherrer, 77, died December 30, 1968 at the home of her daughter in Randolph County, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Sherrer was a native of Terrell County. She was born March 22, 1891, a daughter of the late George W. and Susan Lay Bell. She was a member of the Rehoboth Baptist church and was married to the late Homer Clayton Sherrer.
Funeral services were held January 1 at Rehoboth Baptist church with interment in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sherrer was preceded in death by her husband, and two daughters, Christine Bell Sherrer and Betty Sue Sherrer Schramm.
Survivors include two daughters, Claire Sherrer Phillips, Cuthbert and Ann Sherrer Thompson, Shellman. One brother; four sisters and nine grandchildren.
