George, Herman Jack
Herman Jack George, age 82 of Ola, left this world to be with the Lord on Friday, April 18, 2003 at his home outside Ola. He was born April 17, 1921 in the Southview Community, Perry County, Arkansas to the late Lilburn Green and Cora Ella Wyatt George. He was a WWII Army veteran, a retired school bus driver for the Ola school district and a former gas station attendant.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Birtie L. George; two brothers, Homer L. George and James Lester George.

Survivors are two brothers, Lloyd S. George of Chinese Camp, California, David R. George of Modesto, California; one sister, Ruby Atwood of Modesto, California; three nephews, Gary George and Darrell George, both of Casa, Jackie George of Benton; a nice, Ella Louise Morrison of Ola and a host of other nephews, nieces and cousins.

Services were Monday, April 21, 2003 at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. Interment was in Birta Cemetery with full military honors by Boyce-Woods VFW Post 3141 in Dardanelle.
