A. Helen Fleming
A. Helen Fleming, 81, of Parkersburg died June 13, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was born Nov. 20, 1920, in Chatnam, Ohio, a daughter of the late Archie Carpenter and Rowena Broadwater Carpenter Dilly. She was owner and operator of her own beauty shop for more than 30 years. She was retired from the Department of Human Services, was a member of the Vienna Baptist Church and the Vienna Chapter of the Eastern Star 151. She was a past matron of the Pennsboro Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by five sons and their wives, Jerry and Brenda, Phillip and Louise, Stephen and Patricia, Richard and Sandra and David and Cinda; one brother and his wife, Charles Robert and Jeannette Dilly of Texas; 10 grandchildren, James D. Fleming and his wife June, Jill Rene Fleming, Christopher Fleming and his wife Jennifer, Phillip Fleming II, David Fleming and his wife Sarah, Michael Fleming and his wife Teresa, Tammy Doolittle, Shawna Lynn Winans and Derek and Lindsey Fleming; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin Smith Fleming; her stepfather, Howard Dilly; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Rev. Bill Thomas officiating. Burial in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-9 Saturday with an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m
