He was born in Emanuel County and was a self-employed truck driver and logger. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Survivors: three daughters, Audrey Murray of Monrovia, Calif., Lorraine Monroe of Aline and Mary A. Rich of Vidalia; a sister, Alice Marsh of Swainsboro; two brothers, Earnest Rich of Swainsboro, and Charles Rich of McIntyre; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: 6-9 p.m. today at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary, Swainsboro.
Funeral: 4 p.m. Saturday at Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary chapel, burial in Eastbrook Cemetery.
