McCleary- O. R. (Ray) Ackley, 88, a resident of McCleary for 35 years, died Sunday at his home Route One, McCleary.
He was born October 12, 1885, in Allendalli, Missouri. He was a retired logger.
He married the former Anna Welty December 23, 1908 in Hill City, Kansas. The couple celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last year.
Survivors in addition to his wife are one son, Orvin R Ackley Jr., Tullelake, California; two daughters, Mrs. Norman Miller, McCleary and Mrs. Charles Wojcik, Twin Falls, Idaho; 13 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at Whieside Chapel, Elma, 1 p.m. Wednesday (today) with the Rev. William Self officiating. Vault interment will follow in the McCleary Cemetery
