Barbara A. (Murphy) Jacome, age 68, of Swansea, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2012 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Raymond Jacome, retired Chief of the Swansea Police Dept.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Robert N. and Lucille C. (Bernier) Murphy. Mrs. Jacome was employed as a Nurse in various Cliff Homes in Fall River, Taunton State Hospital and prior to retiring, she worked at Corrigan Mental Health Center in Fall River. She enjoyed crocheting and traveling, especially cruises with her husband.

Besides her husband of 42 years, Mrs. Jacome is survived by her three sons, Robert M. Jacome & wife Wendi of Dartmouth, Raymond M. Jacome of Fall River and John R. Jacome of Swansea; her sister, Janice Turner & husband William of Swansea; her brother, Richard Reed & wife Jeanne of Goffstown, N.H; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Jacome's funeral will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at 9:00AM from the BOULE FUNERAL HOME, 615 Broadway, Fall River, MA, followed by a service at 10:00AM in Christ Church, 57 Main Street, Swansea, MA 02777. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
