Ira A. Scott, 67, prominent Russellville farmer and stockman, died suddenly Sunday following a heart attack. Mr. Scott was driving cattle to his home when he suffered an attack. He died before he was able to get to his house.
A native of Russellville, he had resided in this community all of his life. He was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church.
His wife died in 1946. He is survived by six children, Alvin Scott of the home; Mrs. Curtis Payne and Mrs. Herbert Weiser of Russellville, Earl and Harley Scott and Mrs. Homer Barnard, all of Kansas City. He leaves three brothers, Oscar, Archie and Tony Scott and a sister, Mrs. Long Farmer of Russellville.
