BreAn Carmen Berrett passed away peacefully on September 14, 2012 following a courageous 9 month battle with Sarcoma. Even though she knew this cancer would take her life, she remained upbeat and positive which was an inspiration to those around her. As she left this life and returned home to her Heavenly Father, she was surrounded by her loving husband and extended family.

BreAn was born February 24, 1971 in Belvedere, CA to Refugio Solano Lopez and Maria-del-Carmen Cordoba. She was raised in El Monte, CA and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in 1989. BreAn was an honor student and participated in activities such as drama and ROTC. She enjoyed reading, singing, and dancing. BreAn earned her AA degree in Liberal Arts from East Los Angeles College, and was on the Dean's list and a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society while attending school.

BreAn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved teaching the children in Primary. She loved helping people and before her cancer diagnosis she was a volunteer driver for the American Cancer Society. Her favorite hobbies included scrapbooking, photography, reading, movies, and of course, the Face book Social Network. She had many friends through social media and life and touched the lives of many who could call her a best friend.
BreAn met her husband Bryan Berrett in the spring of 2005 through an LDS dating website. They met in person in July of that year and were married November 11, 2006. In the almost 6 years that they were married they shared their love for movies, books, gaming, and just loved being together.

BreAn was preceded in death by her mother and her father. She is survived by her husband Bryan, her 3 brothers Rudy (Pat) Lopez, Tony Lopez, and Gilbert (Genevieve) Lopez. She is also survived by her mother and father-in law, Mary and LeRoy Berrett, Bryan's siblings Andrew (Emily) Berrett, Amy (Brandon) Leslie, Riley (Joanna) Berrett, 5 nieces and 5 nephews, her maternal grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends too numerous to name.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the women of the Hanford 1st Ward Relief Society for their love, support, and dedication to BreAn and Bryan during her illness.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 11:00am at the LDS church at 2400 N 11th Ave. There will be a viewing at People's Funeral Chapel at 501 N.
