Clara lived at home, caring for her ailing mother, Lizzie Moller. She stayed at home until Eric and Anna (Moller) Thor moved to the farm in 1941. Then during World War II, Clara was employed at a defense plant in Omaha, Nebraska. When Clara's father Christian Moller retired to Kimballton in 1946, she returned to live at home.
On January 27, 1949, Clara married David Andreas Christoffersen at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Omaha, Nebraska. They lived on their farm 3 1/2 miles north of Kimballton in Sharon Township, Audubon County, Iowa. until retiring to Audubon in 1966. At that time they sold their farm to Duane Kropf.
Clara passed away at her home in Audubon on 11 September 1971. She is buried at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Kimballton, Iowa.
