The Pueblo Chieftain - March 31, 2006 - Lois Ruth Burdette. Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away March 28, 2006, in Pueblo. Ruth was born Jan. 16, 1919, in Wheaton, Mo., and had lived in Pueblo since 1943. She was an active member of the Southwest Church of Christ. Mrs. Burdette is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph William Burdette; her children, Margaret (Jim) Bateham of Cody, Wyo., William (Kathryn) Burdette of Leavenworth, Kan., Charles (Linda Sue) Burdette of Manchester, N.H.; brother, George Utter of Wheaton, Mo.; sisters, Nora Levitch of Wheaton, Mo., and Jane Jones of Purdy, Mo.; as well as five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation in the Davis Crematory. Memorial service, 10 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2006, Southwest Church of Christ, 1635 S. Pueblo Blvd. Donations in memory of Mrs. Burdette may be made to the Longmont Children's Home through the church.
