Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 12, 1960 from the Methodist Church at 2'clock. Mr Barber was a retired Florists. He came to Chadron in 1913. He attended collage, taking a class in horticulture. On May 30, 1915 he was married to Margaret Winiford Fisher and they engaged in the floral business for many years. After her death, he sold the Log Cabin business and land and moved to Chadron. On Sept 4,1950 he was married to Bessie Viola Fisher. They made their home at 937 King St. He was a member of the American Legion, the Kiwanis Cluband the Methodist Church. He served in World War 1. Survives include his widow Bessie, three sisters, Anna (Robert) Gourley of Villisca, IA, Emma (Jim) Sheridan of Villisca, IA. Bessie (Fred) Teas of Gothenburg, Neb. and one brother Grover Clifton of Ontario, Oregon.The Rev. John R. Brooks is in charge of the services. Erwine Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Military serves will be heldat the grave side in Green wood Cemetery, Chadron ,NE. Winnie and Bessie were sisters.
