Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, April 19, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospital with her family by her side. The former Lorraine Elizabeth Fehrenbach, aged 85 years.
Lorraine will be remembered for her remarkable memory and her great kindness and generosity, her timeless craft of quilt making, her gardening, her knitting and crocheting, her creativity of making something out of nothing, her photography, her love of cards.
She was a member of the Maryhill Historical Society and was a member of the C.W.L. of the Church for 51 years.
Loving mother to Charles of Kitchener, Anne Liesemer (Jerry) of Maryhill, Michael (Joyce) of Edmonton, Mary Westphal (Michael) of Kitchener, Patrick (Gail) of Maryhill, Helen (Davide) of Vancouver, James (Whitey) and Wendy of Kitchener, Bill (Winks) of Maryhill, dear sister to Gertrude Bruder, Robert and Jerome Fehrenbach (Shirley); beloved grandma to Lee Anne and Scott, Tammy and Dave, Janine and Andrew, Jacquie, Mark, Michele and Jeff, Kaitlin, Jamie and Andrew, Nicole and Craig and great-grandma to Alyssa, Jordyn, Jacob, Zachary, Meghan and Jasmine.
Lorraine is survived by sister-in-laws, Kathleen Bitschey, Charlotte Weiler, Patsy and Patty Fehrenbach; daughter-in-law, Judy and special friend, Kelly Burwood.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Fehrenbach; her husband, Leander (Chester) Weiler in 1996; brothers, Lawrence, Herbert (Mary) and John and granddaughter, Tina Louise.
Funeral mass was held at St. Boniface Church, Maryhill, with Father Ronald Voisin officiating, interment was at St. Boniface Cemetery.
Donations may be made to St. Boniface Church Building Fund, the Carmel of St. Joseph in St. Agatha or St. Mary's Cardiac Care Unit as expressions of sympathy.
Her busy hands may now rest in peace.
