Glenda Lee Sublett Cowan, age 72 of Morristown, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014, at her home after a long battle with Scleroderma. She was a dedicated member of Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was retired from Hamblen Co. Board of Education after 27 years of loving service. She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Marry Lee, brother Roger Lee and sister Bobbie Ann Lee.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years Roy E. Cowan, two sons Robert Lynn Sublett and Bradley Dean Sublett, step-son John Cowan, step-daughter Susie Cowan Woodard-Spicer, brother Bill D. (Shirley) Lee, sister Susie Lee (Ray) Starnes, very dear mother-in-law Mary C. Sublett and father to her children Steven Sublett.
Memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Howard (Johnny) Shipley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Dover Cumberland Presbyterian Church 1550 Dover Rd. Morristown, TN 37813.
