She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith in Denmark. At the age of 18 years she came to America with her parents.
She was united in marriage to Andrew P. Thompson on Oct. 16, 1906 at Parker, SD. Just a few days before her passing they had the privilege of observing their 53rd wedding anniversary.
They lived on farms in the Hurley, Davis and Parker communities. In 1947 they moved to their present home in Parker, where they have resided since.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband; seven children, Mrs. Henry Thompson (Eleanor), Sioux Falls; Mrs. Wm. Schaefer (Gladys), Parker; Mrs. Herke Niezwaag (Lily), Alcova, WY; Mrs. Selmer Tysdal (Florence), Parker; Mrs. Robert Joyce (Belva), Sioux Falls,; Wendell, Parker, and David, Sioux Falls; three brothers, Chris, Axel and Pete; four sisters, Christina, Annie, Jenny and Olga; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
