1941 - 2012
James Golden Ramey, 71, of Prichard, WV., died Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.
He was born February 7, 1941, in Wayne County, WV., a son of the late James Ramey and Elizabeth Adkins Watts.
Golden was a retired auto mechanic, was a member of Locus Grove Missionary Baptist Church and the Whites Creek Masonic Lodge #60.
A son, James Michael Ramey also preceded him in death, along with two sisters, Launa Napier, Mary Jane Maynard and two brothers, Bernie Watts and Dencil Ramey.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Ernest Ramey of Beaverton, MI., daughter, Kristin Michelle Hupp and husband, Michael of Huntington, WV., Katherine McFatridge of High Point, NC., a brother, Jay Dennis Ramey of Kenova, WV., five grandchildren, James Nathan Ramey, Skylar, Jaxson, Olivia and Gavin Hupp.
Special thanks to James, Rob and his numerous nieces and nephews for their help during his time of need.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, by Pastor Randall Robertson. Burial will follow at Community Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
