The funeral will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home, North Elm Chapel. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
A native of Albemarle, Mrs. Anderson had been a resident of Greensboro since 1972. She was currently living at Arboretum of Heritage Greens. Mrs. Anderson had been a member of First Baptist Church since 1927, where she served as a pianist and was a member of the adult Sunday school class. She was a graduate of Kings Business College. She was retired from Dillard Paper Co., serving as executive secretary for the chairman of the board, secretary to the profit sharing and retirement committee and assistant secretary for Dillard Corp. She was a volunteer receptionist for the Auxiliary at Wesley Long Hospital for 10 years, a volunteer for the American Red Cross during World War II, a member of the Guilford County Civil Defense Board and was a former secretary and board member of the Guilford County Humane Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wan R. Anderson.
She is survived by a sister-in-law, Pearl Crook of Richmond, Va; three nieces and three nephews.
