KAYSVILLE – Dorothy Webster Peterson, 85, passed away Thursday, May 6, 2010 at her home. She was born October 2, 1924 in Kaysville, Utah, the daughter of Wilford H. and Julia Boerens Webster.

Dorothy married Reed Weber Peterson on June 10, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. He preceded her in death on September 19, 1972. She lived in Anaheim and Brea, California, before moving back to Utah in 1974.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as a Primary Teacher. She was a switchboard operator at the Davis County Courthouse.

Dorothy enjoyed embroidery, needlepoint, sewing, reading, singing, listening to music, and visiting her family in Hawaii. Surviving are one son, Reed Kent (Cindy Lei) Peterson, daughter, Janice Peterson (Michael) Hill, two granddaughters, Keala Kaopuiki-Santos, Alana Kaopuiki- Pellegrino, two great-granddaughters, Alaula and Kahiau, brother, Dee Webster, sisters, Irma Elm, Marjorie Green, Afton Udall, Mary Cook and Beverly Call.

Preceded in death by her parents, sisters, JoAnn Webster and Wanda Webster.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Kaysville City Cemetery, 500 E. Crestwood.

Funeral services entrusted to Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main.
