Katie Lucille Barnes, 90, passed away on October 25, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Mary Mansfield, and eleven brothers and sisters. Katie is survived by sons, Clarence Barnes and wife, Peggy; C.L. Barnes, Gary Barnes and wife, June; six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Katie was a long time member of the Saline Church of Christ and the Delight Church of Christ in Arkansas as well as the Pearland Church of Christ for many years. She was a woman of strong faith and determination all her life. Family was very important to Katie and she always looked forward to gatherings whether in Texas or back home in Arkansas. Katie moved back to Arkansas at one time to assist with taking care of her sister until her death. She then moved back to Pearland and lived the remainder of her life. She was affectionately known to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Grandma." Katie will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

A Funeral Service for Katie will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at 11:00 am at Saline Church of Christ, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, officiated by Roger Cox with interment to follow at Saline Cemetery.
