Mr. William Nolte learned the trade of wagon-maker with John Luther in 1876 and per his obituary in 1948 his occupation was blacksmith and wagonmaker.
He married Julia Zapf in Guttenberg on April 19, 1878.
He is the father of 10 children, with his first daughter, Antoinette, being born July of 1879.
He died in 1948 at the home of his daughter Etta (Nolte)Mohl in Davenport, Iowa where he and his wife Julia had gone to live about 1920.
His children are: Antoinette, Esther, Henry, Lydia, Grover, Irma, Julia, Lucille, Etta and Sumner.
Services were conducted at the Masonic Temple.
