Mr. Otha Smith, age 86, passed away Monday evening at the Ogeechee Area Hospice after an extended illness. He was a Bulloch County native and a member of Ada Bell Church of God in Register, GA.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mamie Lou Smith of Statesboro, Ga.; four daughters, Ms. Geneva Smith of Asbury Park, N.J., Mrs. Lela Faye (Woodrow) Burns, Mrs. Annette Dekle, Mrs. Darlene (Ulyhsses) Johnson, all of Statesboro, Ga.; six sons, Mr. Roy L. (Judy) Smith and Mr. Otha L. Smith Jr., both of Asbury Park, N.J., Mr. Clinton Smith, Mr. Earl L. (Latrease) Smith, Mr. Lamar (Mildred) Smith, Mr. Randolph Smith, all of Statesboro, Ga.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Smith will be Saturday, March 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Bulloch Street, Statesboro, Ga., with the Rev. Ronnie Harden, eulogist, and Pastor Edward Boyd, presiding. Interment will be held in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

Burial: Bulloch Memorial Gardens, Statesboro, Ga.
