Joe Kindall Barnett, 68, a long-time Pearland resident, passed away on November 2, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Irene Barnett.

Joe was a man of great service to his community. He began working for the Texas Dept. of Transportation in 1964 and served for 13 years before going to work as a Volunteer Fireman and later Fire Marshall in Pearland. Joe went on to serve his community with the Pearland Police Departments as a Court Bailiff and Warrant Officer before retiring after 20 years of service. Joe loved horses and was a true cowboy his entire life. He enjoyed every opportunity he had to spending time on his horses or tractor, and tending to his cattle and chickens. When the girls were growing up, the family enjoyed taking trips around Texas in their travel trailer. He was affectionately know as Paw Paw to his grandchildren. Joe will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.

The visitation for Joe will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
