Grave side services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Florence National Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends 3 - 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home.
Born in Darlington County the son of the late David Johnson Barnhill and Carrie Mae Teal Barnhill Tickell, David was a truck driver and attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Melonay J. Barnhill of Darlington; his daughter, Diane Tickell; three grandchildren; and his sister, Judy Cox of Darlington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Daisey King.
