                                                Bruce B. Phillips

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the
Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel for Bruce Bryant Phillips,
76, of 108 Wildwood Ave. The Rev. Elmo Renegar will be in charge
with burial to follow in the Calfee Cemetery at Mount Tabor.

He died at 8:40 a.m. Monday in a local hospital following a long
illness.

Born May 20, 1900 in Volney, Va. he was the son of the late
Houston and Martha Phillips. He was a veteran of World War I,
former employe of Koppers Coal Co. in Raleigh County and the
Glen L. Martin plant in Baltimore, Md.

Survivors include his wife, Violet Fitzpatrick Phillips; two
daughters, Mrs. Harold (June) Willis of Sophia and Mrs. Edward
(Louise) Zutaut of Oak Hill; one brother, Lee of Bristol, Tenn.;
three sisters, Mrs. Ennice Duncan of Bristol, Tenn. Mrs. Pearl
Rutherford and Mrs. Cessie Davis, both of Marshalltown, Iowa;
four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today.
