                                     Oredia June Willis

     Oredia June Wills, age 81 of Crab Orchard, passed
away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at the Bowers
Hospice House in Beckley, following a short illness.
     Born on June 2, 1930 at Crab Orchard, she was the
daughter of the late Bruce Bryant Phillips and Violet
Jane Fitzpatrick Phillips.
     Mrs. Willis was a retired employee of the Raleigh
Board of Education, having retired as a teacher at
Crab Orchard Elementary School.
     She was a graduate of Sophia High School, and
Morris Harvey College with a degree in elementary
education.
     Mrs. Willis was a member of the Crab Orchard
Baptist Church, and the Retired Raleigh County
Teacher’s Association. She enjoyed bowling and
spending time with her Sunday School “Buddies”.
     Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by her husband,
James Harold Willis, a brother Wayman Earl
Phillips, and a beloved granddaughter Laura June
Willis.
     Those survivors left to cherish her memory include
her loving and devoted son, Wayne Wills and his wife
Alma of Beckley. Her other precious granddaughter,
Lisa Willis of Beckley; a sister Louise Zutaut of Oak
Hill. Several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, many
friends and church family are also among her
survivors.
     The family would like to extend special thanks to
the SICU Department at Raleigh General Hospital
for their care and support.
     Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday
March 31, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Crab Orchard Baptist
Church at Crab Orchard, with Pastor Mike Sisson
officiating.
     Burial will follow at the Calfee Cemetery at Mount
Tabor.
     Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. until
service time on Saturday.
     Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley,
WV 25801 or to the Crab Orchard Baptist Church
