James "Jim" Manning, 69, of Waxahachie, Texas, passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, in Kaufman, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Monday, November 5, 2012, at the Pat Boze Memorial Chapel of Wayne Boze Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hughes Cemetery in Avolon, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, November 4, 2012, at Wayne Boze Funeral Home.
Jim was born in Kirksey, Kentucky, to the late James Hardin and Palace Bell Manning. He raced at the 85 Speedway for many years and was owner and operator of Jims Auto Salvage in Waxahachie for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Waxahachie; sons, Jimmy Manning and wife, Cindy, Kevin Manning, and Billy Manning; daughters, Tammy Buchanan and husband, Mark, Jamie Brazeal and husband, Andy, Brandi Wright and husband, Brian, Carolyn Nito and husband, Raul, Brittany Garcia and husband, Mariano, and Hanna Rowlands; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Joe, Danny, and Terry Manning; sister, Carolyn Cockran; and a host of family and friends.
