Funeral services for Evelyn Mae Horacek, 95, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Mulqueeny-Spear Funeral Home, 312 Eagle St., Fairport Harbor, where friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The daughter of Corwin and Anna (Stapel) Chamberlin was born June 23, 1917, in Hambden and passed away Nov. 2, 2012, at her home in Munson Township where she was a four-year resident.
Mrs. Horacek was also a previous resident of Erie, Pa., Pittsfield and Lynn, Mass., Houston, Texas, Cleveland, Painesville, and Fairport Harbor. Evelyn was a member of the YMCA Rifle Team and enjoyed participating in rifle competitions. She also enjoyed playing the organ, square dancing, sewing, knitting and crocheting.
Mrs. Horacek is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" Horacek; daughters, Carol Morschhauser and Patricia "Pat" Pyle; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. "Jack" Horacek on Aug. 14, 2012; son, Richard J. "Jack" Horacek; parents; and brother, Thomas Chamberlin.
Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
