Opal Elizabeth Sholar, 64, Caidz, died at 2pm Wednesday at Trigg County Hospital.

Services will be at 10am Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Frederick officiating and burial in Cerulean Cemetery.

A native of Stewart County, Tenn., she was born Dec. 18, 1927, daughter of the late William Troy and Estelle Allen Francis. She was a homemaker and a member of Oakland Methodist Church, Trigg County. A daughter, Lisa Dawn Sholar, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Hugh Haydon Sholar; four sons, Wallace Sholar, Smyrna, Tenn., Wayne Sholar, Saucier, Miss., Danny Sholar, Clarksville, Tenn., and Ricky Sholar, Trigg County; four daughters, Carolyn Sholar, Debbie Burcham, and Donna Sue Skinner, all of Trigg County, and Penny Herbert, White Bear Lake, Minn.; two brothers, Lawton Francis, Hopkinsville, and Charles Francis, Evansville, Ind.; three sisters, Vonnie McCoy, Evansville, Mildred Lancaster and Sadie Whitman, both of Hopkinsville; and 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
