ESTELLA M. PORTER
ZIHLMAN — Estella M. Porter, 82, formerly of Zihlman, died Saturday, June 26, 1999, at Egle Nursing Home, Lonaconing.
Born Oct. 6, 1916, in Carlos, she was the daughter of the late Archie and Edith (Stevenson) Hott. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Herlan Porter, in 1982; four sisters, Pearl, Jane, Goldie and Agnes; and two brothers, Bill and Archie.
Mrs. Porter was retired from Frostburg Community Hospital. She was a member of Allegany United Methodist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are one son, Thomas E. Porter, and fiancee, Lea, Pasadena; two grandchildren, Tommy Porter and Beth Ann Hartwell and husband, Adam, Glen Burnie; one great-granddaughter, Stella Rose Hartwell; two sisters, Martha DeVault and husband, Roy, Carlos, and Myrtle Jones and husband, Ray, Hopewell, Va.; and one brother, Thomas Hott, Wheaton.
Friends will be received at the Sowers Funeral Home, PA., 60 W. Main St., Frostburg, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
