He was born Sept. 21, 1942, in Bloomsburg, a son of the late George and Emma Sabol.
On Aug. 12, 1961, he married the former Betty E. "Sis" Erlston, who preceded him in death Oct. 23, 2012. They were married 49 years.
He graduated from Southern Columbia High School. Frank was employed as a truck driver most of his life. He was also employed at Textron in Danville. Frank was very fond of farming. Frank was a member of the Teamsters Union and multiple local fire companies. He was also a member of the Danville Moose. Frank was well known by many for his light-hearted and warm smile. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but his greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Frank R. Jr. and Dawnette Sabol, of Danville; and three daughters and two sons-in-law, Theresa L. "Terry" and David Long, of Springtown, and Donna M. Summers, of Danville and Beth Ann and Chad Fox, of Danville.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, Justin, Jasmine, Jolene, Autumn and Paige.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law Michael W. Summers.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Visneski Funeral Home Inc., 10 W. Mahoning St., Danville, followed by a memorial service at 1 with the Reverend Kenneth Paulhamus officiating.
Burial will be private in the Columbarium at Odd Fellows Cemetery Danville.
