Obituary:
'The Isabella Co. Enterprise', 4 Feb 1916, page 3
John Little, an old and well respected resident of Vernon township, died at his home two and a quarter miles west of St. Henry's Church on Wednesday last. Liver trouble was the ailment and he suffered greatly nearly eleven weeks before death relieved him. The funeral took place at St. Henry's Church Saturday Morning and was largely attended. The solemn Requiem Mass was celebrated by Revs. Father Brogger of Mt. Pleasant and Mulvey of Alma. Father McAllister delivered a splendid sermon in which he paid beautiful tribute to the dear departed one. After the services the remains were laid to rest in St. Henry's cemetery. Besides the widow, the deceased leaves two daughters, Mrs William Swindlehurst of Marion and Mrs. Tom Lawler of Leaton. Five sons are also left, Charles, John, Edward, Albert and Bert. Mr. Little was a good neighbor and a kind and affectionate father and will be greatly missed by those near and dear to him and by a large circle of friends. Three children who died in infancy made ten children in his family. The bereaved widow and sorrowing children have the sympathy of all in their great loss.
