Gossett E. Hines of Allensville Dies Suddenly
Mr. Gossett E. Hines, 60, an Allensville farmer; died suddenly in the Logan County Hospital Wednesday, June 30, at 6 am.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. G. R. Gambreal, assisted by Mr. Barclay Riley, at the Mayfield and Son Funeral Home Sunday, July 4, at 2:00 pm, with burial in Belmont Cemetery in Allensville.
Mr. Hines was the son of Ed and Mollie Gossett Hines and was born in Logan County, April 17, 1905. He was a member of the Allensville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Virginia Leighton Hines; three daughters, Mrs. Max Colery Fort Knox, Mrs. Enrico Cretella, Paducah, Mrs. Earl Powell, Philippine Islands; three sons, Ewing Hines, Bowling Green, Leighton Hines, Russellville, Ralph Hines, Allensville; six sisters, Mrs. Morton Collier, Homer, Mrs. Hugh Gupton, Mrs. Rayi Akins, Mrs. George Coleman; Russellville, Mrs. Curtis McIntosh, Mrs. Rayburn McIntosh, Olmstead, and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers were JW Murrey, Willard Jackson, Maurice D. Hines, Douglas Penick, Edgar Lawrence and Joe Prince.
