MARS HILL and CORINTH – Bertha Fletcher, 89, passed away Nov. 1, 2012, at a Bangor nursing facility. She was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Upper Kent, New Brunswick, the daughter of John and Rhoda (Oakes) Wharton.

Bertha's faith in her Lord Jesus Christ was very important in her life and she was a longtime member of Full Gospel Assembly, Mars Hill. In later years she moved down to Corinth to live with her daughter and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Reed and her husband, Robert, of Corinth; a son, Terry Fletcher of Bridgewater; four grandchildren, one great-grandchild; a brother, Verrill Tracy; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carl Fletcher; a sister and several brothers.

Interment will take place after the service at King's Grove Cemetery, Mars Hill. (Bangor Daily News posted 11/2/2012)
