Frank R. Rikal, 85, of Butler died at 9:10 a.m. Friday at the Carol Timpani Personal Care Home in Gibsonia after a long illness.

Born June 20, 1919, in Johnstown, he was the son of Frank Lawrence Rikal and Victoria Drozenski Rikal.

He was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.
Mr. Rikal was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post 249.

He had been self-employed as a truck driver for various companies including Agway.

Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Barkey of Bakerstown and Susan Rikal of Butler; a son, Frank R. Rikal of Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Florence) Pasek of Butler and Margaret Friel of Philadelphia.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena Randolph Rikal, who died June 12, 1993, and a brother.

RIKAL - Friends of Frank R. Rikal, who died Friday, Dec. 31, 2004, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 127 W. Jefferson St. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.
