Mrs. Emma Mae Ater, 75, wife of Ralph B Ater of 906 30th St, died at 6:20 am today in Scioto Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Ater had been in ill health several years and was a patient at the hospital several weeks. She was born April 18, 1888 at Portsmouth, a daughter of Charles and Ann Margaret Hines Eckhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a brother. Her only daughter-in-law, Mrs. Irene Ater, wife of Harry Ater of Twin Valley, died last Wednesday. Mrs. Ater is survived by her husband; the son (Harry S Ater); two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Foehr 1307 Bihlman Ave., and Mrs. William Brushart of Worthington; sister-in-law Ivy Althouse who resides with the Aters; two grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Funeral services are to be conducted at Daehler Funeral Home at 2 pm Wednesday, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Rev. Robert Summer is to conduct the services.
