Doris Lee Cartwright Albertson, 83, of South Mills, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. Mrs. Albertson was the daughter of the late William Thomas Cartwright and Maude Sawyer Cartwright and the devoted wife of Edward Overton Albertson of the residence for 67 years. She was a loving mother, homemaker, attended Sharon United Methodist Church, tireless caretaker of family members and enjoyed vegetable gardening. Along with her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Linda Gray and husband, Daniel, and Barbara White and husband, Earl, all of South Mills; a son, Ronnie Albertson and friend, Ellen Vaughn, of South Mills; daughter-in-law, Sandra Albertson; six grandchildren, Michael, Steven and David Albertson, Buddy Johnson, William Nash, and Teresa Mainello; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Jimmy Albertson; a sister, Eula Powell; and two brothers, Clarence Cartwright and Shelton Cartwright. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at 3 p.m. at Twiford's Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
