Martha R. Barhorst age 65 of 46 E. Park St. Ft. Loramie, OH died on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at IU Simon Cancer Center, Indianapolis, IN. She was born February 14, 1947 in Greenville, OH to the late Norbert & Amelia (DeLoye) Heckman. On November 15, 1969 she married Jerome U. Barhorst at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Osgood, OH. He survives in Ft. Loramie, Ohio. She is also survived by son and daughter Eric P. and Betsy (Kamin) Barhorst, Ft. Loramie, Teresa R. & Doug Grieshop, Osgood, grandchildren, Nicholas, Daniel & Lillian Barhorst, Haylie & Karlie Grieshop; sisters & brothers Rita & Steve Monnin, Botkins, John & Maruja Heckman, Clifton, VA, Jim & Adele Heckman, Ft. Recovery, Ann & Mike Kreitzer, Arcanum, Mary & Jerry Siegrist, Sidney, Margie & Don Eilerman, Ft. Loramie, Joe & Joyce Heckman, Monroe, NJ, Bill & Mary Beth Heckman, Yorkshire, Kathy & John Geise, Sidney, David & Karen Heckman, Minster, Step-brother-in-law, Joe & Joan Maier, Houston, OH. She was preceded in death by a daughter Melissa Lynn, her parents, her in-laws, Paul & Florence Barhorst, sister Alice Mae Heckman & brother-in-law Daniel Barhorst. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Ann Sodality, Apostleship of Prayer, Shelby County Right to Life and Rosary Leader for St. Michael Church. She graduated from Minster High School in 1965. She worked at Copeland Corporation before she started a family, then she was a stay at home mother and child care provider in her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Steven Shoup and Rev. Vincent Hoying con-celebrants. Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, Nov. 5 and from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 6. Burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery.
