George was a cattleman with his brand as 1-C. In the spring of 1888 he was part of a cattle drive to Wyoming. Returned to Llano in 3 Sep 1888 and married Victora Holden on 1 Sep 1889. He served as deacon of the Baptist Church and trustee of Little Llano and Lone Grove schools.

He was the son of George Henry K/Clinger of Steinau, Hesse, Germany, and Temperance Ann Ray of TN.
