Herbert John Laufenberg, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Rest Haven Nursing Home. He was born on December 14, 1926, eldest child of Anton and Henrietta (Zander) Laufenberg.
He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Betty) Karls on June 6, 1950 at St. John's Catholic Church in Waunakee. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Pine Bluff Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Herb's passion was farming and always worked very hard. He enjoyed playing cards and had a unique sense of humor, he loved to joke around with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Kenneth Laufenberg; brother and sister-in-law: Arthur (Leona) Laufenberg, sister and brother-in-law: Marian (David) Keller, in-laws: Helen and Lawrence Niesen, George Karls, Donald Endres and Herman Greiber; niece: Kathy Keller, nephews: Brian Statz, Jerry Niesen and Phillip Karls.
