Mrs. Voncile Moore Bowling, 85, a native of Bessemer, Ala., and had resided in Florence for a number of years, passed away March 23, 2011, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Petersville Church of Christ and a charter member of Underwood Community Center.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2011, at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, 2011, at Petersville Church of Christ, with her grandsons, Justin Maynard and Jason Bowling, officiating. The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mrs. Bowling was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gertrude Moore; sisters, Gladys Howe, Imogene Hall, Jessie Merle Sapp; and brother, Gordan Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Ollie Bowling; son, Randal Bowling and wife, Bonnie, of Byron, Ga.; daughter, Elizabeth Maynard and husband, Javan, of Texarkana, Texas; grandchildren, Justin and wife, Susan, Derrick Maynard and wife, LeAnne, Blake Maynard and wife, Jessica, all of Texarkana, Texas, Jonathan Bowling and wife, Gina, Jason Bowling and wife, Heather, all of Byron, Ga., and Jeremy Bowling, of Salem, Mass.; and brother, Ray Moore, of Muscle Shoals.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Justin Maynard, Derrick Maynard, Blake Maynard, Jonathan Bowling, Jason Bowling and Jeremy Bowling.
Honorary pallbearers will be elders of Petersville Church of Christ.
