Wilda Lynn passed away Thursday October 25, 2012 at Homestead of Leavenworth. She was 92.
Wilda was born in Quinter, Kansas on November 5, 1919 to Valentine and Xavier Fritts, the youngest of six children.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Wilda worked for the Battery Factory and for S.S. Kresge Co. for 21 years and retired from there.
On November 4, 1939 she married Lester Lynn in Platte City, Missouri. They were married for 61 years. Lester preceded her in death on June 2, 2001.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and one sister.
She is survived by her son, Melvin Lynn (Sharon) Leavenworth and her daughter Wilma Allen (Dennis) of East Moline, Illinois, her four grandchildren Brenda Garvey (Jesse), Tom Crooks (Stacy), Dan Kirk (Rebecca) and Renee Como (Nick), and six great grandchildren. Her angel daughter and beloved friend Mary Boyer and her special nieces and nephew.
Wilda was loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
Friends may call after 2 P.M Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at the Davis Funeral Chapel , the family will receive friends from 6 P.M to 8P.M Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
Funeral service will be held 10A.M Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the Davis Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery.
