Marguerite Bonnell, 94, of Montclair, formerly of Bloomfield and Orange, died on Aug. 11, 2009. A funeral service will be officiated on Saturday at 12 noon at the Codey Funeral Home, 69 High St., Orange. Interment is in St. John's Cemetery, Orange. Born in Orange, Ms. Bonnell lived in Orange and Bloomfield before moving to Montclair seven years ago. She was a corporate secretary with Office Business Systems, Pine Brook, retiring in 1988. She was a member and former president of The Uzal Dodd Auxiliary 9 to Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, as well as a member of the national council. Her great-grandfather was John Wesley Bonnell, who served in the Union Army as a drum major. She also was a member of the Rosary Society of St. John's Church, Orange. She was predeceased by her parents, James Stuart and Frances Murphy Bonnell, and a sister, Anna Marie Bonnell and is survived by her cousins, Linda, Joan and Marion Bonnell, and Gertrude Bonnell Collins of Kansas.
