Funeral services for Archie "Noble" Guffey, 96, Bakersfield, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, at His Place Church, West Plains, Missouri, under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Mr. Guffey died at 2:40 p.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at his home of forty plus years.

He was born July 8, 1916, in the State of Oklahoma, to George William (Willie) Guffey and Nancy Jane Cotter Guffey. On November 16, 1937, he was married at Paragould, Arkansas, to Thelma Renne Cole, who preceded him in death December 13, 2009. Mr. Guffey was a well-known farmer and bulldozer operator in the Bakersfield, Missouri area. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and neighbors and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Guffey had been a member of the Full Gospel Church, Bakersfield, Missouri, for many years.

He is survived by one brother, Buck Guffey, Gepp, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Betty Guffey Ford, West Plains, Missouri; special nephews, Junior Guffey, Bakersfield, Missouri and Clinton Guffey, Moody, Missouri; several nieces, nephews and cousins; caregivers, Gerry O'Hara and Pam Zastrow; and special loved ones, Gayle Worley Karns and Greg Worley.

His parents, wife of seventy-two years, and one infant daughter, Theno Charlene, three brothers, Albert, George and D. L. Guffey, one sister, Effie Morrison, one infant brother and one infant sister, precede him in death.

Mr. Guffey will lie in state from 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012, until noon, Friday, November 2, 2012, at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Hurst Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Paragould Children's Home or Hurst Cemetery, and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.
