Billy Ray Gibson, Sr. departed this life on Friday, October 26, 2012.

His spirit now soars in heaven as a free bird alongside his mother and best friend.

He is the former husband of Sandra Gallo Gibson.

Loving father of Jenna Rae Gibson and Billy Ray Gibson, Jr..

Son of Billy Morris Gibson and the late Ray Terminie Gibson. Step-son of Carole Alexis Gibson.

He is also survived and fondly remembered by his step-brothers, step-sisters, along with many cousins, relatives and close friends.

Billy was a native of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking. He will be fondly remembered as a loving, jovial, entertaining, and gentle spirited man who loved the bayou life and always loved having a good time. May his soul rest in peace from its bondages at home with our Heavenly Father. You will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, November 7th from 10:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 11:00AM.

Burial will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
