Mrs. Betty Chambers Crabtree age 82 of the Huntsville Community, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Huntsville Manor Nursing Home.
She was born April 11, 1930 in Oneida, Tennessee to the late Frank Chambers and Lucille Laxton Chambers.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a born again Christian and Godly woman, which traveled in the ministry with an Evangelist for many years and was devoted to the Lord and His work, along with her family. She was a cherished Member of the White Rock Baptist Church and served as an Honorary Board Member of Trumpets of Judah Global Ministries.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lucille Laxton Chambers; Sister: Anna Ruth Chambers Sexton; Brother: Harold Clayton Chambers; Infant Brother: Fred Elbert and Infant Sister: Peggy Janice Chambers; the Father of her Children: William Dale "Bill" Crabtree; Brothers-in-law: Norman Ray Phillips, James E. Coffey and Otis Laxton; Grandparents: Noah and Effie Dobbs, Riley and Jane Chambers;
She is survived by her Children: Rhonda Elaine Crabtree Sexton of Sunbright, TN, Patricia Anne "Patti" Brown and husband Donnie of Oneida, TN, William L. "Bill" Crabtree and wife Mary of Lenior City, TN; Grandchildren: Michael Todd Crabtree and wife Kristy of Ringgold, GA, Amber D. Brown of Oneida, TN, Christy Veal and husband Jason of Nashville, TN; Step-Grandchildren: Megan Brooks and husband Lee of New Market, TN, Brandon Keck of Lenior, TN; Great Grandchildren: Aslan Crabtree, Kierien Crabtree, Keegan Crabtree, Gage Veal, Max Veal, Hannah Brooks, Addison Brooks, Gavin Brooks and Kennedy Keck; Brother: Larry H. Butch" Chambers and wife Dorla of Oneida, TN; Sisters: Jean Bridges and husband Amos of Bronston, KY, Christine Bridges and husband Leslie of Bronston, KY, Frankie Lay and husband Bob of Halls, TN, Retha Laxton of Oneida, TN, Phyllis Coffey, Sandra Storey both of Huntsville, TN; Sister-in-law: Mary Chambers of Oneida, TN; several other precious nieces, nephews, family and friends.
She was known as "Nana" to so many children in the family whom she loved.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 10:00 am at the Carson Memorial Gardens.
