Henry F. Long, 91, propeller carver
Henry F. Long, 91, formerly of East Race Street, Lititz, died of natural causes Wednesday at United Zion Home, Lititz.

Long worked 35 years for Sensenich Corp., first as a propeller carver and later in maintenance. He retired in 1978.

Long was an avid hunter, fisherman, gardener and bird watcher.

He also enjoyed nature, woodworking, antiques and taking adventurous drives with his cousin Clarence. He was a member of the .30-06 Club Sullivan County.

Born in Landis Valley, he was the son of the late John B. and Mary Fasnacht Long. He was the husband of the late Miriam I. Long. Surviving are four sons, Gareth G., married to Sue Long, Sidney L., married to Peggy A. Long, and Larry S., married to Elizabeth Long, all of Lititz, and Randy J., married to Audrey J. Long of Strasburg.

Also surviving are two daughters, Lynette R. Brubaker of York and Celeste L., married to Barry Hoffman of Ephrata: 15 grandchildren: 19 great-grandchildren: and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sara J. Sheaffer and Florence Long; and a brother, John.
