Mrs. George Caldwell, who had been ill for some time, died Sunday in her home near town and was buried on Tuesday. The funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. H. Longsworth, and interment was made at Zion. Her maiden name was Alice Belknap. She was married in 1880 to George Caldwell.
She is survived by Mr. Caldwell and the following brothers and sisters; James L., Maxwell, L. L., Robert and Joseph Belknap, of this vicinity; Mesdames John Foster and Peter Jennings, of Sherrodsville; Mrs. Ann Drury, of New York state, and Mrs. Elizabeth Clemens, of Birds Run. Mrs. Caldwell was a member of the Old Sherrodsville Methodist Protestant Church, and was a consistent Christian and was noted for her kindness and generosity. She was an excellent neighbor, and was ever ready to administer to the sick and afflicted. Her death is mourned by a large circle of friends.
