Daniel was born in the small village of Rält-Lindor in Leksand, as one of 7 children of Pung Per Andersson 1825-1904 and Lind Karin Persdotter 1830-1890. As many others he emigrated his country of birth for Minnesota, where he arrived in the spring of 1888, initially in the Duluth area. He got married to a Norwegian immigrant Anna Oline - the year of their marriage is not known yet. They got at least one daughter Dorothy born in 1917. In the year of his death Daniel and his family lived in Winton, Morse Township and he worked as a Section Forman for Duluth & Iron Range Rail Road Co.
In the winter of 1924 his heart did no longer keep running and finalized Daniels life after almost 36 years in Minnesota.
