Paul Carroll Williams
March 3, 1927 - August 3, 2010
Paul Carroll Williams, known to his friends and family as P.C. passed from this life on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at the age of 83 years.

P.C. was born on March 3, 1927 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the oldest of seven; five brothers and one sister. He was the son of Paul Grant and Thelma Willie (Cates) Williams. As a young child P.C. began his education at Springdale Elementary School, Grover Cleveland Middle School and Will Rogers High School. Early in 1945, P.C. enlisted in the US Navy on the "Buddy-System" with his best friend (later, brother-in-law) William P. (Bill) Douglas. While serving his country in World War II he completed high school onboard the USS LSM 439 which assigned to the Pacific Theater, during this time he received the Victory Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal. P.C. was a pretty ornery seaman, frequently losing rank and getting thrown in the brig. Though that never lasted long, since he was such a great Gunner and the only one that could open the bow doors! Honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy on May 24, 1946 he returned home to Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In Tulsa, P.C. enrolled at Spartan School of Aeronautics on his GI Bill. One of the top in his class P.C. received his private pilots license and mechanical certification. On October 12, 1946 P.C. married the love of his life, Eula Vay Shields, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Always living in Tulsa, he opened P.C's Wheel Alignment on East Admiral Place. Later in 1964, he opened P.C. Williams Motor Company selling Datsun/Nissan's. In 1971, P.C. and Eula moved to the Hill n' Dale community on Lake Keystone. Then in 1974, he opened P.C.'s Sales and Service on Highway 64 which operated until 2001. P.C. could never sit still. So, upon his retirement he planted a pecan orchard, and began harvesting and selling pecans until the summer of 2009.

P.C. loved his family, and of course, his dogs! He also enjoyed water skiing, fishing, hunting, playing his saxophone in church and a Sing-a-Long.

Survivors are his loving wife of over 63 years, Eula. Their three children Carol Williams of Tulsa, David Williams of Tulsa, Deborah Hopkins and her husband ,Jim, of Rimrock, Arizona; one sister Luella Douglas of Tulsa; one brother John David Williams and his wife Pat of Tulsa, as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. In addition to his parents P.C. was preceded in death by four brothers Tommy Williams, Earl Williams, Don Williams and Frank Williams.

Church Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, August 9, 2010 at the Keystone Baptist Church with Pastor Jim Foy officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the VFW Fifth District Rifle Squad under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home
