Belleville Telescope

Lloyd Hubka, 34, young farmer living north of Munden, died Tuesday, May 27, following an attack of the measles, with which he had been affected for a short time. Mr. Hubka was well know in his section of the county, where he lived for many years. He is survived by a wife and three children.

Lloyd was in a band with his other brothers called "The Hubka EIGHT BROTHERS BAND." The Belleville Telescope, April 6, 1922 issue had this article about them.

The Hubka EIGHT BROTHERS BAND
Made up entirely of eight brothers, the Hubka Bros. band, near Narka.- The band was organized in 1908 with Stanley Hubka as leader, and maintained its original organization since the personel of the band and the instruments played are as follows, Top row left to right: Stanley Hubka, Bb solo cornet; Fred Hubkla, 2nd cornet; Bohumil Hubka, solo Bb clarinet; Charlie Hubka, Eb clarinet; Lower row, left to right: Amos Hubka, Eb bass; Rudolph Hubka, Eb alto; August Hubka, solo alto; and Lloyd Hubka, Eb baritone. (There was a photo of the band.)
