Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Paul Bienvenu, pastor of Our Lady Queen of Mercy, will officiate at the services.
Mrs. Bergeron was a native of Leonville and a resident of Opelousas. She retired after 23 1/2 years with Sears and Roebuck Company in Opelousas. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Herbert Bergeron of Opelousas; one daughter, Cynthia Richard and her husband, Carl, of Mobile, AL; two brothers, James Lanclos and his wife, Anita, and Raymond Lanclos and his wife, Kathy, all of Opelousas; one sister, Delores Castille and her husband, Abram, of Opelousas; one grandchild, Kimberly Huggins and her husband, Chris, of Mobile, AL; and two great grandchildren, Hailey Peacock and Ian Westerfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexon Lanclos and the former Pearl Colligan.
A rosary will be prayed by Rev. Paul Bienvenu at 7:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Thursday and will continue from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Friday.
